Moose Jaw Family Services is seeking qualified individuals to fill casual Family Support Worker positions (may include evening and weekends). The successful applicants will have experience working with and teaching adults; children and youth who are in crisis and/or involved in services with the Ministry of Social Services.

REQUIREMENTS:


Grade 12 and two years post secondary in a Human Service related field and/or previous experience occupational specific employment.

Security and Safety:

Saskatchewan Driver's License (clean abstract) 
Child abuse registry check 
Criminal record check (abstract) 
Valid First Aid/CPR 
Willing to attend compulsory training sessions

Transportation/Travel Information:


Valid Saskatchewan driver's license (clean abstract) 
Willing to obtain liability insurance 
willing to travel within Moose Jaw and surrounding districts 
own vehicle 
own cell phone

JOB DESIGN:

Families in crisis 

Adult, children and youth
Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
Work under pressure and in stressful situations 

work with little supervision
Working location information:
Primarily work in the homes of clientele (Moose Jaw and surrounding districts)
Reporting:
Mandatory reporting of duties includes documentation of home visits, supervised visits, direct service meetings and monthly required reporting.
Monthly meetings with Family Support Program Coordinator and Ministry of Social Services Child Protection workers inclusive to casework

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The goal is to provide education and support in the areas of personal wellness, parenting and connecting these individuals to social and community resources as per identified tasks and outcomes on the contract.
